Mom Goes Back to Work

As you can see from the picture, Mel has a job that often allows baby to be on board. Here we are in our PLNU colors (green and gold) at the spirit bell competition/women's basketball game. The students loved seeing their smallest PLNU fan and Mel enjoyed the opportunity to both be at work AND enjoy her daughter. She didn't get to enjoy her for long. Each person present from Student Development had to get their hands on that girl at some point during the evening! All of this to say that the transition is going well. Dad is a master at home economics: the apartment is clean, Sophia is diapered and fed, and food is bought and prepared (masterfully. Last night we had three layer breaded seabass with honey apple glaze.) Mel jumped in full force with work, doing some public speaking at a women's forum, dashing off to evening meetings, and reconnecting with her students. We are experiencing life as normally as it gets for us and enjoying it all.
